The typical length for the PhD programme in Marine Technology is three years; this is comprised of one semester of additional study and 2.5 years of dissertation work and research. Today, the department has 45 PhD students and a number of research fellow programmes. Three of these programmes are financed by the Norwegian Research Council.
Our research area includes micro and nano engineering, biomechanical engineering, controls, designs, green and sustainable, nanotechnology, computer and simulation.
